Fish And Chips At AK Subs

Was told by a friend that we have to try AK Subs Fish And Chips. After several months of being told to try it we decided to actually try it. Went to AK Subs and from first sight of the place I could tell it was not really my kind of place but we decided to give it a try anyway to see how things will be. And hey I was really looking forward to having Fish And Chips as I was craving it for a while. So they called our names and we went and picked up our Fish And Chips and brought it to our table.

At frist glance (picture above) it looked quite good and it was quite steamy as it had just gotten fried! Yum!

I ate a bit and realized it was going to be perfect! Second bit great. Third bite good. Then after the third bite it started wearing on me and not tasting good anymore. It was a bit too intense and I could start tasting the deep fried oil. After a while and almost finishing the first of three pieces of fish I was already very overwhelmed with the Fish And Chips and I couldn’t take it anymore. It was pretty bad.

It turned out I am not the biggest fan of the Fish And Chips and I’ve had enough! I’ll try some other items from AK Subs but I’ll skip the Fish And Chips next time. I’ll save it for my trip to London!

Looks like the audience at yesterdays Yerba Buena Gardens Festival was really enjoying the event with Circus Bella. They really did put on a very fun show and the kids were really enjoying it.

Here’s the first video from the Circus Bella show at the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival at the Yerba Buena Gardens. The Yerba Buena Gardens does these free concerts and shows during the summer months. I’ve caught several shows here and when the sun is out and it’s a little warm they tend to be fun. There’s usually a larger crowd of folks watching the shows.

I happened to be at Yerba Buena Gardens this afternoon and caught one of their FREE concerts. It was Circus Bella which I always wanted to see and luckily I caught some of their acts. I shot this video while there. Looks like the crowd was really into the show even though it was overcast and cloudy out and about.

Painted Ladies We Love – Hearts In San Francisco…

… A benefit for the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.

This particular heart is in Yerba Buena Gardens right upstairs across B Restaurant overlooking the park. It’s a nice one and it has San Francisco History all over the heart.

Peet’s Coffee 4th Street – San Francisco

I love my Peet’s Coffee and I’m so happy that we have one just around the corner from where I am. This Peet’s coffee is at 370 4th street between Harrison and Folsom. I go there as much as I can. I love their cappuccino’s as they make them pretty darn good!

The team at Peet’s on 4th is great too! Very friendly service.

If you are nearby make sure you stop in and order yourself something. Or bring your laptop with you and drink your coffee and type, type away as they have free wireless for 2 hours if you order a drink or something.

Long Life Noodles Is Closed!

Darn it’s a shame to see a lot of businesses closing but hey what can you do with this current economy. I had a love hate relationship with Long Life Noodles. I liked some of there dishes but I hated anything that had chicken in it. The chicken usually tasted old. I’ve complained to them about it multiple times but they never did anything about it.

Long Life Noodles was very convenient at the Metreon but oh well they are gone now. I’m sure something better will come and take their place! Ha!

Zeum Sign Shadows

Zeum is located in the Yerba Buena Park in the Soma part of San Francisco. I tend to walk near there all the time and came across this great shot of the shadow of the sign for Zeum so I had to snap a couple of pics of it. I think the three that I shot turned out quite nice.

Zeum is an arts and technology museum for young kids and their families. It’s San Francisco’s hands-on arts & technology museum where kids can explore animation, sound & video production, live performance, and visual arts.

I’ve actually have never been there but I suppose taking a trip over and checking it out could be a fun outing one boring and lazy Saturday. Perhaps it’s in order now but in the meantime we can enjoy these pics from Zeum!
