Ride History To See History! San Francisco Railway Museum
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 1:59 No CommentsI wanted to update San Francisco Photos with yet another free museum today. Perhaps I’ll include it on another list of things to do in the future but for now here’s some more info about the San Francisco Photos.
The ride to the museum costs $1.50 on the F-Line or $5.50 on the Cable Car ! To see the museum is FREE!
The F-Line takes you and stops right in front of the San Francisco Railway Museum. You can also take the California line Cable Car near the Hyatt Regency and from there it’s about a block and a half. The San Francisco Railway Museum is not a large museum. It’s quite small and you can probably finish the whole thing in 45 minutes so I think you can do the San Francisco Railways Museum can be done before or after you visit to the Ferry Building as you don’t need too long of s time.
Check out their website for more info about the museum.
Zeum Sign Shadows
Monday, April 20, 2009 19:27 No CommentsZeum is located in the Yerba Buena Park in the Soma part of San Francisco. I tend to walk near there all the time and came across this great shot of the shadow of the sign for Zeum so I had to snap a couple of pics of it. I think the three that I shot turned out quite nice.
Zeum is an arts and technology museum for young kids and their families. It’s San Francisco’s hands-on arts & technology museum where kids can explore animation, sound & video production, live performance, and visual arts.
I’ve actually have never been there but I suppose taking a trip over and checking it out could be a fun outing one boring and lazy Saturday. Perhaps it’s in order now but in the meantime we can enjoy these pics from Zeum!
Contemporary Jewish Museum Of San Francisco At Night
Monday, February 9, 2009 0:45 1 CommentI shot this picture while having dinner at Tropisueno. It was nice to just set up my little tripod on my G10 Canon camera and snap a few pictures out the window.
This one is just looking right into the alley. You can see Market Street way in the back.
Free Things To Do In San Francisco: Cable Car Museum
Saturday, August 30, 2008 19:29 No CommentsIt’s fun to visit the Cable Car Museum and it’s free. It’s very educational and you definitely will learn how the cable runs throughout the city and how the cable cars move around the city. There are also three classic cable cars on display and an old video about the cable car and history about it.
Definitely check it out and sit and watch the video it’s only about 15 minutes long if that and from a busy day of touring San Francisco it’s a great chance to wind down and relax a bit. Then you’re off to climb the streets again.
Check it out … it’s located at 1201 Mason Street at Washington. Check out the map for directions to the Cable Car Museum and or visit their site for more information.
Frida Kahlo Exhibit At SFMOMA – Soma, San Francisco
Monday, June 16, 2008 22:57 No CommentsI’ve been a pretty big fan of Frida Kahlo’s work so I’m excited about going and seeing the show at the SFMOMA. I love her style of surreal painting. I also enjoyed the great film about her life so I’m pretty excited about this show. These posters were hanging at the SFMOMA gift shop window so I thought I’d snap a couple of very glary photos to write about the upcoming show at SFMOMA.
