Free Opera On Maiden Lane – Puccini La Bohème

It’s always such a pleasure to be walking downtown San Francisco near Union Square and hearing the voices of Litz Plummer and Robert Close doing a recognizable opera classic recording. I usually get close, stop and listen along with the crowd that gathers. It’s quite beautiful.

They usually set up right at the corner of Maiden Lane and Grant street gates. Those of you new to San Francisco Maiden Lane is just blocks from the Chinatown Gates at Grant and Bush so you’re not that far and this can certainly be one of the things you do on your way to Chinatown.

Usually Litz and Robert set up on weekends when the weather is beautiful so do definitely stop by. You should definitely stroll past Maiden Lane and do some window shopping or possibly stop and have lunch at Bistro 69 or Mocca. It’s a very beautiful setting. Make sure to offer them a little donation.

You should also check out Xanadu gallery on Maiden Lane as it’s the only Frank Lloyd Wright building in San Francisco and from what I have researched Frank Lloyd Wright designed this building as the test building prior to the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Make sure you go inside Xanadu Gallery and look at how beautiful the interior is.
