The views from the Cavallo Point Hotel are pretty darn cool. If you can’t get enough of the Golden Gate Bridge and you don’t want to stay in the heart of San Francisco when you visit here the Cavallo Point Hotel is an awesome choice.
Cavallo Point Hotel – Suasalito, San Francisco Bay Area
I recently got to visit some friends who were celebrating an anniversary at Cavallo Point Hotel in Suasalito overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. So I had to shoot several pics. The hotel is beautiful as it looks very cozy with a beautiful fireplace and the view they had was quite awesome! Check the pictures out below.
Cavallo Point Hotel is located at historic Fort Baker and it’s set on 45 acres of land. Fort Baker used to be an army post and was built at the turn of the century. The property practices sustainable and green living. Map below!
Golden Gate Bridge From The Fairmont Hotel
Here’s a great cloud covered shot of the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of the Fairmont Hotel on top of Nob Hill. You can take the cable car right up the hill on California Street and get off right at the top of the hill and walk right into the Fairmont Hotel.
I actually do really love the way this shot came out. I love the dramatic cloud all around the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate is one of the most popular spots in San Francisco for tourists visiting San Francisco.

You can certainly stretch it out to a whole day but remember to not miss the ferry boat back from Suasalito or do it in half a day where it’s more about the exercise and the workout of the bike ride – your call. The fun part is that you get to ride a bike across the Golden Gate Bridge. How many people can say that they have done that?
Riding across the Golden Gate Bridge is such an exhilarating experience that I think everyone should do it.
Along the way you will see all the historic street cars that run here in San Francisco, you can stop at the Ferry Building, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Musee Mecanique, Ghiradelli Square, Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, Crissy Field, St. Francis Yacht Club, the Wave Organ, the Presidio, Palace Of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point, Marin Headlands and on down to Suasalito. Ferry back to San Francisco and along the way you’ll see Alcatraz, Angel Island.
These are very popular spots so bring your camera along with you and enjoy the ride.
