Francis Ford Coppola At Cafe Zoetrope In North Beach
Wednesday, August 12, 2009 15:37 No CommentsSpotted Francis Ford Coppola the awesome director of the awesome Tetro at Cafe Zoetrope recently in North Beach. He seemed busy and preoccupied with something so snapped some San Francisco pictures of him and moved on. I could have gotten close and asked to take a pic together but why bother the guy! This pic turned out just fine!
Stockton Tunnel Viewing
Sunday, June 28, 2009 1:15 No CommentsCouple of busy ladies checking out the view from high above the Stockton Tunnel. This spot is right at Bush and the view is pretty nice. You’ll see Stockton going all the way down to Market street when it’s clear with parts of Union Square along the way.
Stockton tunnel is the entrance to Chinatown – the real Chinatown and not the tourist Chinatown. If you’re visiting San Francisco for the first time and you’ve walked along Grant Street you should just go up a block and experience the real Chinatown where the Chinese locals do their shopping etc. It’s fun to walk and experience the locals and not the tourists.
Mo’s Burgers North Beach
Sunday, June 28, 2009 0:44 No CommentsI’ve always loved Mo’s burgers for their burgers but on a recent trip to North Beach we had late lunch early dinner there and I was not really impressed. I’m totally into fries and love them to be perfect but unfortunately it seemed like my fries had been sitting around way too long and I was served reheated really crispy hard fries. Not good.
i love my fries to be soft and not too crispy. I even asked the woman to make sure my fries were not too crispy but I got hard old fries.
It spoiled the rest of the dinner unfortunately. The burger was still pretty good but damn if it’s not all good then it’s all bad. You know?
Mo’s Burgers is located at 1322 Grant Ave right in North Beach. if you’re visiting San Francisco and happen to be in North Beach but are not in the mood for Italian or even Chinese Food then stop in to Mo’s.

Church Of Scientology San Francisco
Monday, May 25, 2009 9:53 2 CommentsIn no way am I endorsing the Church Of Scientology here so I wanted to put that out there first. But I what I wanted to write is that I recently was walking past their building in North Beach at 701 New Montgomery and I was really impressed at what a darn beautiful piece of architecture they get to call home!!
I don’t know much about the history of this beautiful building but it was certainly worth photographing to show everyone that visits SFPhotorama.com how beautiful the Church Of Scientology building was here in San Francisco.
What do you think? Anyone know any history about this building? Would love to know about it.
Old Wall Advertising
Sunday, May 24, 2009 1:01 4 CommentsHotel Rooms For Rent – $1.50 per week. Says the ad …
I love old advertising or old art on old buildings so when I see any I usually snap a pic of it and save it because one of these days it’s most likely going to be destroyed and and it wont be around anymore. So I was walking on Kearny street one day and I saw this one advertising for hotel rooms for rent by the week for $1.50 a week. Or you can rent for 25, 30, 35, 50 per night. And hot and cold water available. Sounds like the Four Seasons!!
This ad is located almost at the corner of Kearny and Clay streets – you wont miss it. This little area is a treasure for me to walk around up and down the streets. Clay and Commercial streets are my favorites! Lot’s of cool architecture and old buildings to snap pictures of. If you’re into history or architecture you will definitely be in heaven in this neighborhood.
Be sure to walk up Commercial Street up to Grant (corner of Commercial and Grant) to Eastern Bakery for some barbecued pork buns or sesame balls. Yum!
