Marriott San Francisco – Downtown, San Francisco
Sunday, March 23, 2008 15:36Here’s a shot of the Marriott San Francisco on Mission and 4th Streets. Recently it has gone through some major remodeling of the lobby and I believe the rooms as well. I think the building itself needs a new paint job or something. I think a darker color would be great. The building is known as the jukebox building by some and some people even think it’s one of the ugliest building in the city. I don’t think so … I think it’s quite unique. Hey I don’t see any other buildings in the city that look like so it stands out. Maybe that’s what some folks don’t like the fact it stands out like a sore thumb. Oh well people, get over yourselves and worry about something more important like global warming or the damn war in Iraq!
I think though i could use a fresh coat of pain on the outside. Maybe a darker shade so it would look really unique and in the dark of the night hours all you would see are windows illuminated by the light shining in the rooms. Could be quite magical.
Check out their Web site for more info.
I shot this photo on a very cloudy, overcast day right after it had rained. It’s turned out quite dramatic with the clouds and all. Don’t you think so?
